The group interview tasks are delivered by a qualified, experienced senior teacher. An experienced member of the Dukes Tutoring team watches the children’s responses and then writes up their observations and recommendations for each child. Each session is highly interactive and very similar to the type of activities and tasks that are given to children in the real 7+ group interview situations.
The skills we test during these mock interviews include: listening skills, collaboration, leadership skills, team work, general knowledge and the child’s behaviour. We always want this to be a very positive and helpful experience, so that in the real interviews they will be able to show their very best! Other skills tested will be oral comprehension and mental maths.
We follow up the day with a brief report on each child’s performance in the mock group interview. This report will be sent to parents along with some general information and tips to help you be involved in your child’s preparations for the real interviews, using this valuable feedback.
