Head of Business Development
Olivia Campbell is Head of Business Development at Dukes Tutoring. Olivia has worked in some of the top primary and prep schools in London, with a specialist focus and interest in the 11+ and senior English. Olivia has supported many children to receive a place and scholarships at some of the top schools in the country. A key part of her role at Dukes Tutoring is working with the Dukes Plus and Dukes Education family to ensure we work together seamlessly. She also works with clients and teachers both in the UK and Internationally. Before joining Dukes Tutoring, she worked at Dukes Education in Learning & Development, helping over 3500 staff with their professional development. Holding a Bachelor of Primary Education from The University of Sydney and a Masters of Education (Effective Learning and Teaching) at UCL, The IOE, her final research dissertation was centred around staff wellbeing at schools. She is passionate about staff and pupil wellbeing, having attended a Martin Seligman Positive Education school in Australia (Geelong Grammar School) and studied at The Institute of Positive Education. As such, Olivia is currently spear-heading the HPL tutor pilot programme, an industry leading first tutor qualification which helps tutors transform their pedagogical approach to tutoring, focussing on what is commonly known as ‘soft skills’ development for example helping students develop resilience and confidence. She also serves as a school Governor at a local primary school.
Favourite book: Olivia’s absolute favourite book is Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier – the imagery across the first few pages and delicious words and imagery throughout is a masterpiece in writing. A book for the whole family is The Little Book of Thunks by Ian Gilbert which is perfect to get the conversation started and debate rolling in at the dinner table (and great practice for any school or university interview preparation!)
