I have worked as a private tutor for the past seven years, I have taught pupils from Reception to Year 6. I am familiar with teaching Mathematics, English, Science, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning and many more subjects across a wide age range. The majority of the children I tutor are preparing for the 11+ examinations. I have a 100% success rate of children getting into their first-choice school. Before I became a tutor I worked as Class Teacher at both Dulwich Prep London and St Hilary’s School, Godalming. I am enthusiastic, hardworking, and driven to find new and exciting ways to inspire children to learn. My experience has taught me the value of providing a stimulating and exciting learning environment where all children are motivated to learn and do their best. My previous students have included a range of children with particular needs, and I have successfully managed to make individual provision for them. My most rewarding successes included working as Class Teacher/SENCO and private tutor to support children with Autism, Asperger’s, ADHD, Global Delay and Cerebral Palsy and communication difficulties. I formed strong bonds with each child and improved their learning whilst working in collaboration with SEN agencies and their parents. All the children I have taught have made considerable progress, getting into their chosen secondary schools and their increased confidence and positive attitude towards learning was clear for all to see.
