Our approach at Dukes Tutoring
We work with children from 4-18 years old and with adults – whatever their academic ability and whatever their goals. The consultancy now operates to support families across London, the UK and globally, offering face to face and online tutoring.

Online Tuition
Find expert tutors to support your progress, wherever you are, with Dukes Tutoring’s online tutoring services. Our flexible approach to tutoring provision and educational support, as it means we can offer tutoring to everyone regardless of geography or other restrictions. Dukes Tutoring help students in the UK, and across all age ranges, including 4+, 7+, 11+ and 13+ preparation, as well as GCSEs, A Levels and undergraduate studies.
In Person Tuition
Dukes Tutoring has over 20 years of supporting families with in person tuition across London. We are able to provide tuition in the comfort of your own home, or at our office in central London, Dukes House. If you are based outside of London, but would still like in person tuition, we may still be able to help you. Please get in touch today to learn more about our services.
Our Tutors Are Different
Our tutors are experienced professionals, who are supported by us. As experienced teachers, we know the exact requirements needed for a successful tutor and we select the right tutor for each student – both in terms of academic needs and personality fit – as chemistry is very important and our tutors all need to inspire and motivate our students in their learning. Our tutors have a proven track record, are passionate about education and love working with children. We have teachers who are deputy heads, senior managers, subject specialists and class teachers. In addition, we have a select group of graduates who are recruited for their substantial subject knowledge and engaging personality. Dukes Tutoring is powered by a team of fully-vetted and qualified tutors, and only selects a minority of tutor applicants.
We interview all our tutors as part of a rigorous selection process. We check academic qualifications, certificates and identity documents. We also require an original Enhanced Disclosure from the DBS, not more than three years old. We take up full reference checks and only retain tutors who receive positive client and student feedback. This selection process supports our track record: Dukes Tutoring has worked directly with 5,000 students and delivered over 200,000 hours of quality tuition.

In the initial consultation, we will take the time to understand your child’s academic needs and goals. From there, we will carefully match your child to the right tutor.
Often we advise starting with an assessment, whether that is a formal academic assessment or in-lesson formative assessment. The tutor will then create a bespoke learning plan from there.
Your tutor will be your main point of contact throughout tuition. Alongside your tutor, our primary and secondary managers will work with you and the tutor, as well as our client support team.
