Homeschooling Tutors
Supporting your child’s learning with clarity, structure and care
Homeschooling Tutors with Dukes Tutoring
At Dukes Tutoring, we understand that many families opt for home-schooling for a variety of reasons, including relocation, travel requirements, or pursuits in professional-level sports or drama. Some families choose home-schooling due to illness, anxiety, bullying, or school phobia. Other reasons might be concerns about special needs or a child’s unique talents not being addressed in the traditional classroom.
Available in person in London or online anywhere in the world, our homeschooling tutors work one-on-one with a student, to provide tailored academic support outside of the traditional classroom setting. Homeschooling allows students to receive focused attention and customised lessons based on their specific learning style, pace, and educational needs.
We offer personalised homeschooling support to provide a highly effective, nurturing education experience that helps students excel. Where needed, we also offer wrap around care to support your child holistically, with regular check-ins with our Heads of Primary and Secondary Provision.

The Benefits of Homeschooling & Hybrid Learning
-
Tailored Learning Experience
Every child has a unique learning style, and our homeschooling tutors are committed to tailoring lessons to suit your child’s needs. Whether they thrive through hands-on activities, visual aids, or structured lessons, we customise the learning plan to ensure maximum engagement and success.
-
Flexible Schedule
Homeschooling offers flexibility in scheduling, allowing for a more relaxed pace of learning. You can work around your family’s schedule, including travel, special activities, or personal commitments, without the constraints of traditional school hours.
-
Focused Attention
With one-on-one tutoring, your child gets undivided attention from an experienced tutor. This personalised support enables them to progress at their own pace and ensures that concepts are fully understood before moving on.
-
Increased Confidence and Independence
Homeschooling can help children gain confidence in their abilities, as they have the opportunity to work in a more supportive and less pressured environment. Our tutors encourage self-discipline and independence, helping children become more confident learners.
-
Safe and Comfortable Learning Environment
For children who have faced challenges like anxiety, bullying, or school phobia, homeschooling tutors provide a safe and comfortable learning space where they can thrive without stress or fear.
The Homeschooling Process
-
Initial Consultation
The first stage in our homeschooling process is always a free consultation. We discuss your child, your reasons for homeschooling, and any questions you might have about the process or how our programmes work.
-
Tutor Matching
If you decide to proceed following the consultation, we match your child with the homeschooling tutors who best meet your unique requirements.
All the tutors we introduce for homeschooling have extensive prior experience teaching the entire curriculum to children. Homeschooling also requires a unique skillset which goes beyond standard weekly tuition – organisation, empathy, and motivational abilities are paramount – and we ensure that our tutors have these skills.
This process is deeply personal and delivered with great care. Drawing on our years of experience, we tend to get the matching spot on, but if for any reason your child doesn’t click with a tutor, we are happy to find alternatives.
-
Timetabling
Once you are happy with your tutors, we put together a timetable for your child. The flexibility of designing a timetable that gets the best out of your child is one of the great advantages of homeschooling.
Some children prefer the familiarity of the traditional school day, while others learn better if they can start lessons later or only focus on one or two subjects per day. Whatever your child’s unique preferences, we build the timetable around them.
-
Ongoing Support
Once the programme is underway, we provide continuous support to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible.
Students are assigned a Lead Tutor or Mentor for pastoral support, while we provide regular homework, assessments, and progress updates for parents so you can be confident that the learning is on track.
