I’ve been tutoring for 6 years, mainly the 11+ process. I’ve had great success by sparking passion in my students, making lessons fun and engaging (even for students who actively express a hatred of the subject!) to encourage them to take ownership of their studies and by developing a friendly, yet firm, rapport. I introduce new topics through demonstration, guided practice, then independent work, checking confidence out of 10 before moving on. My lessons are tailored to each student’s pace and learning style, consolidating core skills while pushing them beyond. I teach all 11+ subjects, including interview technique, with a particular passion for English. As a professional writer in an advertising agency, I bring skills I have learnt professionally, promoting clarity, succinctness, and storytelling, in my teaching.

Alysha is a professional copywriter who works in advertising, with six years experience tutoring students to get into the schools of their choice, but also those who need extra support to help them achieve their potential.
