I have been a been a private tutor teaching Maths and Science for over 5 years since I started Oxford University, with extensive experience supporting neurodivergent and struggling students. My role goes beyond helping students grasp complicated content, focusing primarily in providing a safe space for them to make mistakes, ask questions, gain curiosity and ultimately build their personal confidence. I make sure that my students have a deep understanding of the subject, focusing on explaining why things are how they are. I thoroughly enjoy helping students through their University Application and 16+ journey, always trying to engage in thought provoking conversations and exploring content in greater depth.
With over 3000 hours and 5 years of experience, David has helped a plethora of students significantly improve their grades. Amongst his achievements include helping a student go from a U to an A in A level Chemistry, helping a student struggling with addiction go from a U to a C (and helping him stay clean) and aiding neurodivergent students get into their university of choice, including Cambridge, Imperial College London and Oxford, to name a few. David has also helped many students get into their chosen school for 16+ including Cardiff Sixth Form College, Kings College London, St Pauls and Westminster School. He is a very passionate tutor that aims to fascinate his students with the beauty of maths and science and help them develop their curiosity and passion for the subject, not just to “prepare for the test”.
