I am an English Teacher with over 20 years of tutoring experience mainly in the private sector. My teaching approach is a traditional one of using worksheets, practice books and past exam papers. I also use online materials, so my students are kept up to date with their subject knowledge. I encourage my students to have autonomy in their learning by getting them to bring their knowledge of sports, reading, and music into their creative writing tasks. I also help students with language skills by using dictionaries and helping to create their own personal vocabulary notebooks. To monitor their exam progress, I use past exam papers to consolidate the work we have completed and provide the students with revision tasks to increase their overall grades.
