I am an experienced Early Years Specialist with over 13 years of experience teaching within an Outstanding primary school. Through assessing and inspiring children across Nursery, Reception and Key Stage 1. I am passionate about helping every child develop confidence, resilience and a genuine love of learning. I believe that secure foundations in the Early Years can lead to lifelong success. My teaching approach is calm, nurturing and highly personalised. I create engaging lessons that build confidence while adapting learning to each child's individual needs, interests and learning style. I specialise in 4+ preparation, school readiness, phonics, early reading, writing, mathematics and speech and language development. Alongside my classroom teaching, I have contributed to a Department for Education Early Years project. “ Excellence In Early Years”. I assisted with the planning and featured in the video. I have supported an Outstanding Ofsted judgement through high-quality teaching, curriculum planning and assessment. I believe that when we get the foundations right in the Early Years. Everything else begins to fall into place. It is a privilege to help every child flourish.

Experience

Natasha has over 13 years of experience teaching across Nursery, Reception and Key Stage 1 within an Outstanding four-form entry primary school. She teaches whole classes independently and has successfully fulfilled the full responsibilities of a Reception class teacher. Including planning, assessment, report writing, parents' evenings, referrals and curriculum delivery. Assessment is central to Natasha's practice. She completes approximately 120 Read Write Inc. phonics assessments each term. Natasha, carries out Reception Baseline Assessments and uses assessment information to identify next steps, organise teaching groups and accelerate progress. Natasha has extensive experience supporting children with SEND, English as an additional language (EAL), the lowest 20% of learners and higher-attaining pupils through targeted literacy, mathematics and NELI interventions. She also models effective teaching strategies for colleagues and builds strong relationships with parents, providing practical guidance to support learning beyond the classroom. Her experience includes curriculum planning in line with the EYFS Framework and Development Matters guidance, contributing to a Department for Education Early Years project and supporting an Outstanding Ofsted inspection.
