Rebeca

I am a current UCL student studying History and Politics of the Americas, though my curiosity doesn't stop there - I’ve always loved crossing between subjects, having studied Philosophy, Biology and Chemistry at A Level alongside a humanities degree. I bring over four years of tutoring experience working with students across a whole range of ability levels, including those with additional learning needs, and I hold a Safeguarding Children Level 2 qualification. For me, tutoring isn't just about getting through a syllabus - I want my students to actually feel proud of what they've learnt and more confident in themselves along the way. I take the time to get to know how each student thinks and learns best, so lessons feel less like "extra school" and more like a space where they can ask questions freely and make real progress at their own pace. Outside of tutoring, I love exploring topics well beyond my own subjects, and I really enjoy sharing that sense of curiosity with the students I work with.

Experience

Rebeca is a warm and dedicated academic tutor with over four years of experience supporting students across a range of abilities, including those with additional learning needs. She has worked as an Academic Tutor for both Remedy Recruitment and Randstad, where she has enjoyed helping SEN students build confidence in core Maths and English skills, bringing an interactive and encouraging approach to every session. Prior to this, she worked as a Tutor at JUS Education, where she got to know each student's individual strengths and weaknesses, drawing on a strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum to help them make genuine progress. She also gained experience as a Teacher Assistant at Cypher Coders, working closely alongside teachers to support students individually and help create a friendly, inclusive classroom environment where every child felt comfortable learning. What Rebeca enjoys most about tutoring is watching a student's confidence grow - not just in their grades, but in how they see themselves as learners.
